Himachal Pradesh is a state which is situated in North India exactly known as Snow-land. It is enclosed on the eastern side by Tibet Autonomous area, on the western side by Chandigarh and Punjab, on the south-eastern side by Uttarakhand, on the south-western side by Haryana and on the northern side by Jammu & Kashmir.Himachal Pradesh is well-known for its usual magnificence, shrines and hill stations. Various perpetual rivers flow in Himachal, and several hydroelectric schemes are launched. Himachal Pradesh has numerous vales, and around 90% of the people dwell in rustic regions. TOURISM OF HIMACHAL PRADESH
Tourism in the state is a most important contributor to the development and financial system of Himachal Pradesh. The mountainous state with its varied and stunning Himalayan backgrounds draws attention of tourists from all over the world. Hill stations like Dalhousie, Kullu, Shimla, Manali, Dharamsala and Chamba are famous tourist spots for both domestic & international tourists. Himachal Pradesh has various prominent pilgrimage spots with well-known shrines of Hindus like Jakhoo Shrine, Manu Shrine, Baijnath Shrine, Naina Devi Shrine, Renuka Lake, Chamunda Devi Shrine, Jwala Ji Shrine, Bhimakali Shrine, Vajreshwari Devi Shrine, Chintpurni and Bijli Mahadev. Himachal is too referred as Dev Bhoomi (exactly means Abode of Gods) due to its mention in olden sacred manuscripts and happening of huge amount of historical shrines in the state of Himachal.

Himachal Pradesh is also well-known for its adventure sports such as – Ice Skating In Shimla, Boating In Bilaspur, Rafting In Kullu, Skiing In Manali, Paragliding In Solang Valley & Bir-Billing. In addition to these other activities like horse riding, fishing and trekking, in several parts of the state. Spiti Valley in Lahaul & Spiti District is located at an elevation of above 2998 metres with its scenic backgrounds is the main spot for adventure lovers. Great Himalayan national park has very superior spieces of wild life. Region of hakti Maraud is a very prominent tracking course, Shanghr is a very stunning spot in kullu region. The region also has several oldest Buddhist Gompas in Asia. Himachal is also a well-known spot for shooting of movies. Bir Billing is situated in the heart of Himachal in Kangra District. Bir Billing is a popular spot for aero sports in Himachal and regarded as most excellent for paragliding. Some of the other prominent things to do here are trekking to tribal areas, mountain biking and visit to Buddhist Gompas.

CULTURE OF HIMACHAL PRADESH
Himachal Pradesh is famous for handmade items. Some of the popular handicraft items of the state are metalware, paintings, carpets, shawls, leather works, Chamba rumals, carpentry and paintings of Kangra. Pashmina shawl is very popular in the state. One of the very popular art work of Himachal community are Himachali caps. Local dance and music reveals the cultural uniqueness of Himachal. Through their music and dance, they pray their gods at the time of local festivals and other important ceremonies. In Addition to the fairs and festivals which are famous all over the country, there are many fairs and festivals, comprising the temple fairs in almost each area which are of huge importance to the State. Cuisine of the people of Himachal is very similar to the other parts of the state northern India. They also have bread, vegetables, soup, rice and lentil. Non-Vegeterian Food is more popular among Himachalis. Several popular food dishes of the state are Pateer, Mhanee, Bhagjery, Chouck, chutney of Til and Madhra.
