CLIMATE OF BALI
Bali has a tropical climate. Year round temperatures averaging 31 degrees Celsius. High humidity can be expected during the Wet Season during the months of October to April. The Dry Season between the months of May to September have also the lowest humidity.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS OF BALI

1. Mount Batur
Every day, hundreds of visitors begin the trek up the 1,700-meter summit of Mount Batur to watch the sun rise above the luxuriant assortment of mountains. Mount Batur is a sacred active volcano which is situated in Kintamani District in Bali's central highlands, about 60 minutes drive from Ubud, and the trek to the summit to watch the sunrise has long list of top things to do in Bali. The trek, along well-marked trails, is quite easy and generally takes about 2-3 hrs. Guided treks usually comprise a picnic breakfast, with eggs cooked by the steam from the active volcano. On a clear day, the views of the adjacent mountain ranges and Lake Batur are amazing.Hiking shoes are essential, and it's advisable to wear jackets, as the temperature can be cool before sunrise. You can also combine a trip here with a visit to one of the most important temples of Bali, Pura Ulun Danu Batur, on the northwest shore of the lake, and a healing soak in hot springs at the beautiful village of Toya Bungkah on the banks of Lake Batur.

2. Uluwatu Temple
Uluwata Temple is situated over plunging sea cliffs above one of Bali's best surf spots about 25 kms from Kuta, Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) is one of the most famous temple of the island due to its wonderful clifftop setting. Sunset time (when the sky and sea glow in the late afternoon light ) is the best time to visit Uluwatu Temple,.The temple is believed to protect Bali from evil sea spirits, while the monkeys who reside in the forest near its entrance are thought to protect the temple from bad influences. A scenic pathway turns from the entrance to the temple with magnificent viewpoints along the way. Only Hindu worshippers are allowed to enter the temple, but the beautiful setting and the sunset Kecak dance performances that take place here daily are more than worth the visit.

3. Tegallalang and Jatiluwih Rice Terraces in Bali
If you're a photographer seeking to capture Bali's attractive bright green-hued rice fields, the Tegallalang or Jatiluwih rice terraces should be at the top of your sightseeing program. Tegallalang Rice Terraces  are situated about a 30-minute drive from north of Ubud, it is one of the most famous place to photograph these iconic scenery and beauty. Be aware that locals ask for donations along the most popular track through the rice fields here, and many request fees for entrance and parking along the road. A relaxing way to enjoy the luxuriant scenerys is at one of the many restaurants and cafés overlooking the fields. Jatiluwih rice terraces are situated about a 90-minute drive from Ubud, along the hillsides of the Batukaru mountain range and tend to be less crowded than Tegallalang. 

4. Balinese Art & Culture
Ubud is also the epicenter of Balinese art and culture. This is where the modern Balinese art movement was born, with the adjacent royal palaces and shrines which are its main supporters. Many famous museums and galleries clearly depict  customs and traditions of Bali. For an overview of Balinese art, you can visit Neka Art Museum and Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) located within a walking distance of the Ubud Monkey Forest. Collections at both comprise works ranging from traditional to modern, including classical wayang (puppet-figure) paintings, photography and kris (ceremonial daggers).

Other art galleries and museums in the Ubud area for art lovers are Setia Darma House of Masks & Puppets exhibiting traditional masks from Asia and beyond; Museum Puri Lukisan, spanning a range of Balinese artistic styles; and the Don Antonio Blanco Museum. Ubud Art Market is good for shopping for the art lovers. Here people can find so many things like paintings, jewellery, carvings, sculptures, homewares, and sarongs and is one of the top tourist place in town. Bargaining is necessary, and a good rule of thumb is to counter with half the asking price and barter upwards from there, always with a smile. Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace is also a very good place to visit which is located opposite the Ubu Art Market. One of the best things to do in Bali at night is to attend a traditional Balinese dance performance in the evening — especially for families. One of the best things to do in Bali with kids is to visit an art workshop at a local village, which can include traditional painting, jewelry making, and mask-making.

5. Ubud Monkey Forest
Ubud Monkey Forest is situated nearby the south of the town center in Ubud, Bali. Ubud Monkey Forest, also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, is one of the best place to visit in Bali for animal lovers or photographers. Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal Temple is situated at the southwest side of Ubud Monkey Forest, where hundreds of monkeys swing through the trees and climb over the walls.Pura Beji  Temple (situated on the northwest side of the forest) is an ancient bathing temple, situated next to a cool stream and makes a stunning surrounding for watching the monkeys. While visiting the forest, make sure to secure your belongings and avoid direct eye contact with the animals (and smiling), as this can be taken as a symbol of aggression. It's also a good idea not to bring any food into the area.

6. Pura Tanah Lot (Pura" means temple in Balinese)
Pura Tanah Lot is situated about 20 kms northwest of Kuta, Pura Tanah Lot is one of Bali's most iconic temples. It has an amazing seaside setting, on a rocky island surrounded by waves. It is one of the most religious among all the island's sea temples for the Balinese people,. (The biggest and holiest Hindu shrine in Bali is Pura Besakih, but recently local hagglers have been harassing visitors). Every evening, large number of tourists tourists from Kuta, Legian, and Sanur come here to watch the sun setting behind the temple. Although foreigners can't enter any of the shrines, but they can walk across to the main shrine, and it's fun to roam along the paths taking photos and enjoying the beautiful setting. From Tanah Lot, you can wander along serene pathways to beautiful Batu Bolong, another sea shrine situated on a rock outcrop connecting it to the shore. When visiting any temples in Bali, always dress respectfully, and wear a sarong and sash.

India to Bali distance by air is 5830 km and it takes about 9 hours from India to reach Bali. Direct flights are not available from India to Bali. All the flights are generally via Kuala Lumpur from where one gets a connecting flight to Bali.
